After five seasons, between 2014 and 2019, Douglas Bergqvist left the Allsvenskan and Östersund for Norwegian Haugesund, and then a short stay in Poland.

Now he is ready for second place Kalmar FF. Bergqvist joins directly and trains with the team on Friday. Already on Sunday, it's time for the match.

- I feel ready. We finished playing the season ten days ago. After that, I kept going and also trained extra with the reserve team over there, says Douglas Bergqvist to Kalmar FF's website.

- He fits in with what we were looking for as he works well in both the back and four back line and can be used in a central midfield if needed. In the dialogue with the coaching staff, it was the things that felt most important and that we wanted to bring in a player with all-Swedish experience, says the sports manager in Kalmar FF, Jörgen Petersson.
