"E-cigarette on the top" has become the "new favorite" of young people?

Don't let the "e-cigarette from above" go to your head

Recently, a new type of e-cigarette product that claims to be added with legal and compliant "top oil" ingredients (ie synthetic cannabinoids) has appeared on the market, attracting some young people who are pursuing novelty and stimulation to buy and smoke, not only for the physical and mental health of users It causes harm and adds chaos to the e-cigarette industry.

In July of this year, the People's Procuratorate of Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province handled two cases of selling electronic cigarettes with synthetic cannabinoid ingredients. The average age of the suspects was only 20 years old.

At the beginning of 2020, after 00, Zhang Hua (pseudonym) was chatting with his friend Zhao Yu (pseudonym) who ran the e-cigarette experience hall for the first time when he heard of "upper e-cigarette". Zhao Yu said that he had smoked it and mentioned this e-cigarette. The cigarette contains "marijuana".

Zhang Hua knew that marijuana was a drug, and learned that this e-cigarette might have added marijuana extracts, but it didn't take long for Zhang Hua and Zhao Yu to smoke the "top e-cigarette" together.

Since May of this year, he learned that Zhao Yu had electronic cigarette cartridges with "top oil" on hand, and Zhang Hua wanted to buy from him and resell it to others to make a difference.

In 3 months, Zhang Hua purchased 4 times, each time at 70 yuan, and then sold at 170 yuan.

In another case that occurred in July this year, 22-year-old Qian Hao (pseudonym) and 19-year-old Li Wei (pseudonym) also knew that synthetic cannabinoids were listed as substances, and they still sold "Shangtou Electronics" containing synthetic cannabinoids to others. cigarette".

In his confession, Qian Hao stated that more than a year ago, he came into contact with the "top electronic cigarette" at a bar, and has since been buying and smoking through the marketing staff in the bar.

In May of this year, Qian Hao learned that the "Shangtou Electronic Cigarette" is a new type of drug containing synthetic cannabinoids. "I stopped smoking at the time and didn't want to throw it away. I knew that the "Shangtou Electronic Cigarette" was a drug and I sold it. I just want to make some money."

Earlier, Qian Hao bought 12 bottles of "Upper Electronic Cigarette", and later he sold the remaining 3 bottles through WeChat to contact the buyer.

On May 26 this year, the National Health Commission and the representatives of the WHO in China jointly issued the "China Smoking Harm to Health Report 2020", which for the first time made it clear that e-cigarettes are harmful to health.

E-cigarettes themselves are not good for health, and e-cigarette products added with synthetic cannabinoids are even more harmful.

In fact, the appearance of "top e-cigarettes" is basically the same as ordinary e-cigarettes. Smokers usually add synthetic cannabinoid-containing e-cigarette cartridges to normal e-cigarette rods for smoking.

According to experts, synthetic cannabinoids are synthetic chemical substances that do not depend on cannabis cultivation, are lower in cost and easy to obtain, and their psychoactive activity is 4-5 times stronger than that of ordinary cannabinoids. Excessive use of cannabinoids can cause shock, suffocation, etc. The situation even died suddenly.

Up to now, there have been several incidents in China that endanger public safety such as drug driving and intentional injuries caused by smoking electronic cigarettes with added synthetic cannabinoids.

Starting from July 1 this year, the country officially listed the entire class of synthetic cannabinoids as drugs for control.

In the process of handling the case, the investigators of the People’s Procuratorate of Wujiang District found that it is common for three or two friends to meet at home or in a hotel room to smoke "top e-cigarettes" together, and smokers use "top e-cigarettes" as a way of entertainment , Ignoring the dangers of drugs and legal constraints.

The prosecutor handling the case reminded that new drugs are not a fashion trend. Young people should be alert to “legal top” scams, abandon fluke mentality, cultivate healthy hobbies, strictly abide by laws and regulations, resolutely stay away from drug crimes, and do not waste their youth.
