First private tourist destination in Europe, Disneyland Paris officially reopened its doors to the public this Wednesday with reinforced hygiene measures, after four months of closure due to the epidemic of coronavirus.

At 10 am, thousands of visitors, including many families, walked through the park gates, telephone in hand to immortalize this moment. This day marks the start of a new chapter under the sign of optimism, ”added Natacha Raflaski, surrounded by a ballet of emblematic characters from the park including the famous Mickey and Minnie.
The park had already welcomed visitors on Monday and Tuesday, with an annual subscription.
Sanitary constraints oblige, the hygiene measures are reinforced and all the visitors must reserve their place or their stay in advance, online. Wearing a mask is compulsory for adults and children from 11 years old.
"A limited capacity"
The French subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company said Monday that its two theme parks - Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios, closed since March 14 - would reopen "gradually" from July 15 "with limited capacity" without more precision.
As for accommodation, a first hotel (Disney's Newport Bay Club) reopened on Wednesday, and others will follow during the summer, but two of them (the Sequoia Lodge and the Davy Crockett Ranch) "will reopen at a date announced later ”.
The site - which has no longer communicated its number of visitors since 2015, the year in which it received 14.8 million visitors - is located in Marne-la-Vallée in Ile-de-France, a region which has remained classified as an "orange zone" for the epidemic until June 15.
