DEWA organizes a workshop on the enabling environment for people of determination

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organized a virtual workshop, entitled "Best local and international practices in the field of environment for people of determination", in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Community Development Authority, the Dubai Government's Human Resources Department and the Dubai Police Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Health Authority, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai Statistics Center, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Media Corporation, Dubai Courts, Dubai Airport, and Dubai Club for People of Determination.
The workshop aimed to transfer the best practices applied in the authority in the field of a qualified environment to government partners and exchange experiences aimed at integrating and empowering people of determination in work and society.
During his welcoming speech, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said: “I am pleased to welcome you to the“ workshop on best local and international practices in the field of environment for people of determination ”, which comes within the authority’s initiatives seeking to integrate and empower people of determination in Work and society, and to enhance their happiness ».
He added that it is in line with the national policy for empowering people of determination, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of creating an inclusive society free of barriers that guarantees empowerment and a decent life for people of determination and their families, and the “My Community” initiative. A place for everyone », launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, which aims to transform Dubai into a friendly city for people of determination. The workshop included two introductory sessions on “Ease of Accessibility to Buildings and Facilities According to Dubai Code of Qualified Environment and Best Practices Applied in the Field”, and “Ease of Access to Information and Qualified and Smart Services in Service Centers - Practices applied in this field.”
