Even if it will be necessary to wear a mask and wash your hands regularly, the Culture Bar-bars festival should indeed attract tens of thousands of participants from this Thursday evening and throughout the weekend, despite the resumption of the Covid-19 epidemic.

After being prevented last year, already because of the health crisis, the organizers of this meeting wanted to maintain it at all costs, claiming the right to party.

In total, 500 shows, including concerts, will take place in nearly 200 venues or bars across France, such as Rennes, Lille, or Toulouse.

But also in Nantes, the epicenter of this popular festival launched twenty years ago, where the program will be the most extensive with nearly a hundred bars and, new, clubs involved.

"The fundamental role of small venues"

After two complicated years for customers, bar managers, but also for local artists, the Culture bar-bars collective wants to recall “the fundamental role of these small venues, which are café-concerts, cultural cafés for cultural and artistic emergence and living it together in our towns and villages.

"

Last year, a white paper on the right to party was produced by the collective to prepare for the post-pandemic.

It had been handed over to the President of the National Assembly and to the elected representatives.
