Decided to request closures and shorter working hours in some areas of Minami, Osaka Prefecture July 31, 20:10

Osaka Prefecture held a new-type coronavirus countermeasures headquarters meeting on the night of 31st, and decided to close and shorten business hours for restaurants that serve alcohol in some areas of Minami because the infection in the downtown area is spreading. I decided to request.

At the meeting, it was reported that the increase in infection was noticeable among people involved in Minami stores even in downtown areas.

Then, next month, it was decided to request a restaurant that serves alcohol in some areas of Minami to close or shorten the business hours.

Among these, the business hours are shortened from 5 am to 8 pm, and the target is not only taverns, but also restaurants, bars and nights with entertainment such as cabarets and host clubs that adhere to industry-specific guidelines. I decided to make it a club, a karaoke store, etc.

On the other hand, we decided to request leave cooperation for cabarets, host clubs, bars and nightclubs, karaoke stores, etc. that do not follow the guidelines.

In the area, the north-south is between Nagahori-dori and Sennichimae-dori, the east-west is between Midosuji and Sakaisuji, and the request period is 15 days from the 6th to the 20th of next month.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that the prefecture and Osaka City will pay 10,000 yen per day, or 20,000 yen in total, to stores that respond to requests while taking measures.

After the meeting, Governor Yoshimura said, "I don't know how effective it is, but first I would like to request it in Minami. I want to keep the socioeconomics in check while preventing the spread of infection."
