"During this period, an administrative inquiry will be carried out by the Métropole de Lyon in order to verify that the operating conditions of the establishment comply with the legislative and regulatory provisions and guarantee respect for the health, physical or mental, or the education of the children welcomed", details the prefecture.

The employee, who was alone on the morning of the tragedy in this crèche of the People & Baby group, located in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon, was indicted on June 24 for intentional homicide.

She had admitted "that overwhelmed by the crying of the child, she had sprinkled him and then made him ingest a caustic product", according to the Lyon prosecutor's office.

Since the death, the employee, who is in pre-trial detention, has been the subject of very violent attacks on social networks, where the management of the People & Baby group is also strongly criticized.
