Damac shares rise in the maximum percentage despite the decline in Dubai index

Damac Properties rose despite the decline in the Dubai Financial Market index, in today's trading session, as Damac increased by 14.4%, while its market index fell by 0.44%.

DAMAC Properties' shares closed up 14.4% at 1.11 dirhams, and traded nearly 29 million shares.

The decline in the Dubai Financial Market index came due to a decline in the shares of some leading companies in the real estate and banking sectors, as Emaar Properties fell by 1.1% at 2.62 dirhams, and Emirates NBD fell 2.6% at 9.48 dirhams.

As for the most heavily traded shares, Union Properties' shares were up 1.4% at 0.284 dirhams, and with transactions that exceeded 58 million shares.
