For a week, the inhabitants of the metropolis of Montpellier (Hérault) were the only ones, in the former Languedoc-Roussillon, to have to obey a night curfew.

This Thursday, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced the implementation of this measure in 54 departments, as of this Friday, from midnight.

Among them, the Pyrénées-Orientales, Lozère and Gard, where the coronavirus circulates quickly.

In Nîmes, an incidence rate of 358.1

In the Gard, for example, according to the last figure communicated Wednesday by the prefecture at

, the incidence rate of Covid-19 is 238 per 100,000 inhabitants.

It is 358.1 in the agglomeration of Nîmes and 144.4 in that of Alès.

For comparison, the rate is 251 on the national territory.

In Hérault, the people of Montpellier will no longer be the only ones to have to return home between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. on pain of a fine of 135 euros: all residents of the department will now have to respect the curfew.

Thus, in the former Languedoc-Roussillon, only the Audois escape the curfew.
