Munich (dpa / lby) - With more transparency about the influence of lobby groups on the government and state parliament, the CSU and free voters want to strengthen trust in the legislation in Bavaria.
Today (11.45 a.m.) the two government factions want to present their bill for a Bavarian lobby register in the state parliament.
The Free State is going the same way as the federal government.
It was not until the end of March that the Bundestag decided to introduce a lobby register after years of discussion.
The law also obliges professional interest representatives to enter themselves in a publicly accessible register and to provide information about their clients there.
In the coalition agreement between the CSU and Free Voters from 2018, there was no reference to the introduction of a lobby register.
Demands for this did not arise until the summer of 2019 after the lobbying allegations against the CDU Bundestag member Philipp Amthor became known.
This had come under massive criticism for campaigning for a US company for which he was given stock options.
However, the Bundestag and the Berlin public prosecutor saw no evidence of legal violations.
