few days ago, there was another electric kickboard accident in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

Electric kickboards and passenger cars collided on the road where there is no distinction between driveways and sidewalks, and there are many kickboard accidents on these roads.

Reporter Park Jae-hyun reported.

Seongdong-gu, Seoul on the 9th.

An electric kickboard runs on one side of the road where parked vehicles are lined up.

Subsequently, an SUV car that was going straight from the other direction of the crossroads hit the kickboard as it is.

Fortunately, there was no harm to the life of the kickboard driver, but it was an accident that showed the danger of the road where vehicles, pedestrians, and electric kickboards were mixed together.

[Neighboring Workers: There is no way to go to the kickboard, and the car just runs out of the road between mana... (I feel more dangerous) because

there is no distinction between the roads and roads in India.

Due to the nature of the road on the back road, it is difficult to secure visibility because the building and the road are attached, but this accident also occurred in the blind spot on the road.

A private research institute analyzed 127 images of electric kickboard accidents, and 26% of accidents occurred on the back road and 26% of accidents occurred while crossing the road from India.

More than half of the analysis targets originated on or near the road.

Although there is a high risk of accidents, there are no obvious safety measures other than the regulation that the kickboard is driven to the far right of the road.

Some regions of France have introduced a method that automatically reduces the speed when the electric kickboard enters the pedestrian zone, and we need to consider introducing it in areas where there are many pedestrians or accidents.
