Mayor Gilles Lurton also explains that the old walled city attracts "both permanent residents, secondary residents, day visitors and vacationing tourists, thus increasing its attendance." Thus, in this town, which is one of the most touristic towns in Brittany, "wearing a mask, including + general public +, is compulsory from the age of 11" and "throughout the intramural sector, including the ramparts ".

In mid-May, the previous mayor Claude Renoult, reporting difficulties in enforcing the distances between people, announced his decision to make the wearing of the mask compulsory from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in certain very commercial streets, during the weekends. of Ascension and Pentecost.
