The Montpellier medical faculty suspended part of its courses on Tuesday, around sixty students having tested positive for Covid-19 after a student evening, we learned from concordant sources.

Among the students diagnosed positive, 51 are in second year and seven in third year, according to the Syndicat de combat universitaire de Montpellier (Scum).

This suspension was decided for a period of fifteen days during which the students will be able to follow their courses at a distance.

The virus would have spread during a student party, said the communication service of the University of Montpellier on which the faculty of medicine depends.

All students who test positive are asymptomatic.
