The situation in Italy and in the world

Data on the pandemic in Italy. Today there are 4,147 new cases with 243,967 swabs and 171 deaths. The positivity rate rises to 1.7%. Yesterday the infections were 3,937 with 260,962 swabs (rate at 1.5%) and 121 deaths. There are currently 253,193 positives, down by 6,836 cases. Between discharged and recovered there are 3,826,984 people, with an increase of 10,808 cases since yesterday. The death toll in Italy rises to 125,793. The total cases are 4,205,970 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the last 24 in Lombardy there have been 739 cases of Covid-19, of which 53 'weakly positive', and 41 deaths. Since the beginning of the epidemic in the region, the victims of the coronavirus are 33,551. The swabs carried out are 44,390 (of which 28,309 are molecular and 16,081 are antigenic), with a positivity index equal to 1.6%. 1,457 healed / discharged (overall total: 766,955, of which 3,112 discharged and 763,843 recovered). Covid ICU patients drop to 260 (-13), while hospitalized patients to 1,299 (-70). Yesterday, compared to 42,222 swabs performed, there were 666 new positives (1.5%) and 15 deaths.

There are 533 new cases of Covid 19 in Campania, of which 375 asymptomatic and 158 symptomatic, out of 13,217 swabs. There are 4,402 antigenic swabs. The deaths are 21, 16 in the last 48 hours and 5 previously but recorded yesterday, and the total since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 7,168. The healed are 1,248, for a total of 341,763. Of the 656 intensive care beds, 73 are occupied; of the 3,160 hospital beds, including private ones, 782 are occupied.

There are 383 new positives at Covid19 in Sicily, out of 18,104 swabs processed, with an incidence of about 2.1%. Even today the Region is in third place in Italy for the number of daily infections. The dead were 20 and bring the total to 5,798. The number of current positives is 11,340 with a decrease of 375 cases. There are 738 recovered. In hospitals there are 616 patients, 23 fewer than yesterday, those in intensive care are 81, 5 fewer than in the previous bulletin.

Out of over 12 thousand swabs in Lazio (-516) and almost 13 thousand antigenic for a total of over 25 thousand tests, there are 361 new positive cases (+43), deaths are 9 (-9), hospitalized are 1061 (-45) . 1324 recovered, intensive therapies are 165 (-12). The ratio between positives and buffers is 2.9%, but if we also consider the antigenic ones the percentage drops to 1.4%. Cases in Rome city are at 202. The RT is 0.74 and the incidence 52.81 / 100 thousand inhabitants.

The report of the last 24 hours on Covid in Tuscany is 319 new cases (average age 40 years) and another 16 deaths (average age 77.5 years). Cases of total positivity in the region rose to 240,511 (+ 0.1% compared to the previous day), less than those recovered, which increased by + 0.3% (there were 723) and reach a total of 224,355. 6,673 have died since the beginning of the epidemic of which 90 resident outside Tuscany but died in the region. The currently positive are 9,483 (-4.2% on yesterday). Among them the hospitalized are 618 (-42 on yesterday, -6.4%) of which 119 in intensive care (-11, -8.5%) while another 8,865 people are in isolation at home with symptoms that, according to the Region , do not require hospital care, or are asymptomatic. Then there are 23,865 people (-889 on yesterday, equal to -3.6%) toothey isolated in active surveillance because they had contact with infected people.

In Piedmont there are 298 new cases of positivity to Covid, out of a total of 16,269 diagnostic swabs processed (9,719 antigenic), the rate is 1.8%. The number of people admitted to intensive care has dropped by 7, now 90; in the other departments -6, there are 765 patients. The bulletin of the regional crisis unit also reports 8 deaths; since the beginning of the pandemic the total is 11,613. The people in home isolation are 5,478, the healed +669.

288 positive cases have been recorded today in Puglia, compared to 7,922 tests for Covid-19 infection. In particular, there are 58 in the province of Bari, 8 in the province of Brindisi, 52 in the province of BAT, 81 in the province of Foggia, 53 in the province of Lecce, 36 in the province of Taranto. 32 deaths were also recorded: 3 in the province of Bari, 27 in the province of Lecce, 2 in the province of Taranto. The data on deaths in the province of Lecce - it is specified - does not relate to the last 24 hours and is not indicative of any mortality peak, but is the result of a verification and updating of cases over a longer period.

There are 263 new cases of Coronavirus found in Emilia-Romagna with 20,132 swabs. Hospitalizations in Covid wards are decreasing, where there are currently 622 people (-67), but patients in intensive care are increasing, 111 (+2). These are the data from the daily bulletin of the pandemic released by the Region, which counts another 3 deaths, two women in Bologna, 83 and 94 years old and one in the province of Reggio Emilia, 57 years old. Of the new cases, 87 are asymptomatic and 111 were already in isolation. Among the provinces in first place today is Modena with 48 new positives, followed by Bologna with 42 plus 3 in the Imola area. The healed are 436 more, the active patients are 17,357 (-176), 95.7% in isolation at home. Meanwhile, the vaccination campaign exceeds 2.5 million total doses administered from the beginning (2,514,314), with 894,223 people who have completed the cycle.

There were 242 new Covid infections recorded in Veneto in the last 24, and 6 deaths, for a total, respectively, of 422,730 infected since the beginning of the epidemic, and 11,546 victims. The bulletin of the Region reports it. In hospitals, the number of beds occupied by patients with Covid fell to 735 (-38), of which 651 in the medical area (-30), and 84 (-8) in intensive care. The subjects currently positive and in home isolation are 9,377 (-327).

On a day 154 coronavirus positive in the Marche. The Health Service of the Region announced that 3572 swabs have been tested in the last 24 hours: 1,879 new diagnoses (410 in the screening with the Antigenic pathway) and 1,693 in the healed pathway (with a positive / tested ratio of 8.2%) " There are 34 people with symptoms.

64 new cases of Covid-19 have been ascertained in the last hours in Abruzzo. They emerged from the analysis of 5211 molecular swabs: 1.23% of the samples analyzed were positive. Admissions continue to drop, going from 187 yesterday to 178 today. There are two recent deaths: the death toll rises to 2,475. Currently positive are 5619 (-66): 161 patients (-10) are hospitalized in non-intensive care and 17 (+1, with a new admission) are in intensive care, while the other 5441 (-57) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the Local Health Authorities. The healed are 65,780 (+128).

The number of Covid patients hospitalized in Liguria continues to decline: according to today's bulletin released by the Region, there are 178 patients in Ligurian hospitals, 18 fewer than yesterday. Of these, 36 are in intensive care, or 3 fewer than yesterday. The report reports 49 new cases of virus positivity: 3,056 molecular swabs, 2,638 rapid antigenic swabs performed in the last 24 hours. There are two new deaths: the victims since the beginning of the emergency have risen to 4,316. On the vaccine front, of the 974,550 delivered, 911,171 were administered, equal to 93%.

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia out of a total of 5,567 tests, 33 positivity to Covid 19 were found. Today there are 2 deaths. Intensive care admissions drop to 8 (-2) and those in other departments drop to 41 (-5). This was announced in a note by the deputy governor of the Fvg with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The total deaths amounted to 3,784. The totally recovered are 92,398, the clinical recovered 5,671 and the people in isolation drop to 4,965 (-42). Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 106,867 people have been positive.

A total of 56,539 cases of positive Covid-19 have been ascertained in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 28 new cases were detected. A total of 1,295,208 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 5,488 tests compared to the previous figure. There were three new deaths (1,456 in all). On the other hand, 155 (-14) people are currently hospitalized in the medical area, while 18 (-3) patients in intensive care. There are 12,776 people in home isolation and a total of 42,134 (+150) healed.

There are 7 new cases of coronavirus registered in Valle d'Aosta in the last 24 hours, while there are no deaths and, therefore, 472 deaths remain since the beginning of the pandemic. The bulletin of the Region reports it. The total infections amounted to 11,541, while the current positives are 235 (-7). The healed grew by 14 units, 10,834 in total, and 330 swabs analyzed, 128,372 in total.
