The situation in Italy and in the world

There are 12,756 new cases registered today, 499 deceased, 39,266 recovered and discharged and the currently positive decrease by -27,010.



Yesterday there were 14,842 positives, 634 victims and 25,497 people healed or discharged with 149,232 swabs.



In Veneto 2,427 cases in 24 hours and 29 deaths


The contagion curve in Veneto continues to grow steadily, with 2,427 cases in 24 hours bringing the total to 173,371 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

This was announced by the regional president Luca Zaia.

There are 29 deaths, with a total of 4,403 victims.

in the hospitals there are 2,815 patients in the ordinary wards (+36) and 346 (+1) in the intensive care units.

The current positives are 81,018.



Over a thousand new cases in Emilia-Romagna out of 10 thousand swabs


There are just over a thousand (1,079) new coronavirus infections in Emilia-Romagna based on 10,483 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 677 asymptomatic identified as part of the activities regional contact tracing and screening.

Average age 45 years.

In intensive care there is one less patient than yesterday (for a total of 233) while in the other Covid wards the hospitalizations increased by 76 units (2,857 total).

The number of victims of Covid-19 rises, another 46 in the last 24 hours alone.



Puglia, 917 new positives, one third of the tests


There are 917 new cases of Covid 19 positives recorded in the last 24 hours in Puglia.

A very high percentage, 33% of the tests carried out which were less than usual, 2,758: the highest number of cases, 323, occurred in the province of Bari, 236 in the province of Foggia, 190 in the province of Brindisi, 97 in the province of Lecce, 35 in the province of BAT, 33 in the province of Taranto, 5 residents outside the region, 2 cases of unknown province of residence were reclassified and re-assigned.

In Friuli Venezia Giulia 633 new cases, 30 deaths and 5,190 swabs


Today 633 new infections have been detected in Friuli Venezia Giulia (12.20 per cent of the 5,190 swabs performed).

There are 1,600 hospitalized (12 more than yesterday), of which 253 in intensive care (stable).

Today there are 24 new deaths.

Overall, 23,005 people are in isolation at home.

In Abruzzo 264 new cases and 9 deaths


There are 264 new cases of coronavirus ascertained in the last hours in Abruzzo. from the analysis of 2,931 swabs: 9.01% of the samples were positive. There are nine recent deaths, which bring the death toll to 1,003. The number of currently positive for the virus continues to decline. increase in hospitalizations (+3), decrease in patients admitted to intensive care. The nine recent deaths concern people aged between 50 and 91 years. The currently positive ones are 128 fewer and drop to 16,321. The figure increases by three units of 730 hospitalized patients: 666 patients (+8 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive care and 64 (-5) in intensive care. The change in resuscitation is calculated net of two new hospitalizations, one discharged

one and seven deaths.

At the moment, 36.99% of the 173 intensive care beds available in the four Asl are occupied.

The other 15,591 positives (-131) are in home isolation.

The healed are 383 more, bringing the total to 13,650.

The overall cases in Abruzzo rise to 30,974.



4 new deaths and 17 new positives in Valle d'Aosta


In Valle d'Aosta there are 856 positive cases today, 14 fewer than yesterday, and 27 new ones recovered.

Four registered deaths, bringing the total to 343. The total positives are 6,783, 17in more than yesterday.

Currently 55 Covid patients are hospitalized at the Parini di Aosta, of which 42 are hospitalized in the Covid wards and 13 in intensive care, 42 at the ISAV in Saint-Pierre and 6 in the field hospital.

To date, 64,033 swabs have been processed, of which 56,847 molecular tests and 7,186 rapid antigen tests.

Yesterday alone, Tuesday 8 December, for example, on 280 molecular tests processed 18 new positive cases were detected and on 82 antigenic tests carried out no new positive case was found.
