Priority inoculation of the new coronavirus vaccine to the elderly, which began on the 12th.

On the first day, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare found that at least 1,100 people were vaccinated nationwide.

The vaccine developed by Pfizer, a major American pharmaceutical company, has been inoculated to more than 1.12 million medical professionals since February, of which about 560,000 have completed the second inoculation.

From yesterday, priority vaccination has started for about 36 million elderly people aged 65 and over.

By the 11th, the vaccine for the elderly delivered to local governments nationwide is for about 50,000 people, and since the number is limited at first, the vaccination will be limited.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, on the 12th of the first day, a total of 1139 elderly people were vaccinated nationwide by 7:00 pm.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to increase the amount of deliveries to local governments in the future, and plans to deliver the amount that can be inoculated twice by all the target elderly people by the end of June.
