Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The downward trend in the corona incidence value in North Rhine-Westphalia continues.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 138.3 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week on Friday morning.

The day before, the seven-day value was 144.3.

The number of Covid-19 cases rose by 4094 nationwide. 55 coronavirus-related deaths were reported within 24 hours.

On Friday, 15 of the 53 NRW districts and independent cities were still above the threshold of 165 for the seven-day incidence.

Above this limit, schools must go into distance learning and daycare centers in emergency mode.

Seven municipalities fell below the relevant threshold of 100 for the federal emergency brake: Münster, Höxter, Coesfeld, Soest, Viersen, Mülheim and the Rhein-Sieg district.

In the Ennepe-Ruhr district the value was exactly 100.0, in the Kleve district 100.5.

The RKI showed the highest value with 252.2 for Leverkusen.
