Stühlingen (dpa / lsw) - The construction supplier Sto, which specializes in thermal insulation, benefited from favorable weather conditions last year and increased its result despite losses in international business due to the corona pandemic.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by around 41 percent to 120.8 million euros (previous year: 85.9 million), as the company announced on Thursday in Stühlingen (Waldshut district).

The net result reached a value of 80.7 million euros (previous year: 56.3 million).

Sales rose by 2.5 percent to around 1.4 billion euros.

The development remains uncertain because of the corona crisis, it said.

From today's perspective, sales are expected to increase by 4.5 percent to around 1.5 billion euros in 2021.

Due to the foreseeable cost increases in material procurement, a range of 98 million to 113 million euros is expected for the group EBIT.
