On April 5, the ceremony for the sacrifice of Emperor Xuanyuan during the Qingming Festival of Renyin (2022) was held in Huangling County, Shaanxi Province.

After the ceremony, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and representatives of overseas Chinese paid homage to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, and went to the "Forest of Overseas Chinese" to plant Qiaoshan cypress.

By planting Qiaoshan cypress, the descendants of Yan and Huang expressed their admiration and remembrance for Xuanyuan Huangdi, the first ancestor of Chinese humanities.

It is understood that the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government launched the planting of "Overseas Chinese Forest" in 2017.

Over the years, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese have planted more than 1,000 cypress trees in Qiaoshan.
