“The older you are, the more your presence should be visible”

According to the note, Elon Musk says he is ready to examine the case of those who could not meet the minimum hour of attendance.

"If there are particularly exceptional contributors for whom this is impossible, I will review and approve those exceptions directly," he wrote.

The billionaire also recalled that the 40 hours of weekly presence requested were "less than what we ask of workers in factories".

The boss of Tesla was questioned on Twitter about this memo revealed by the American press.

“Do you have an additional comment for people who think coming to work is an outdated concept?

“, we ask him.

"They should pretend to work somewhere else," he replied simply.

In a second email, Elon Musk highlighted the company's culture of excellence, stressing that the presence in the premises of the company could only be profitable.

“The older you are, the more your presence should be visible.

There are of course companies that don't require this, but when was the last time they shipped a great new product?

It's been a long time,” he added.
