September 24, 2021 "SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 vaccination, with mRNA vaccines, is recommended for pregnant women in the second and third trimester. For the first trimester, vaccination may be considered after evaluation of potential benefits and potential risks with the healthcare professional figure of reference ".
Vaccination is also recommended for women who are breastfeeding, without needing to stop it.
This is what is indicated in a circular from the Ministry of Health just issued in the light of the growing evidence on efficacy and safety for both the fetus and the mother.
