After more than three months of closure, cinemas can now reopen. More than 40 films are showing between new releases and return to theaters. Disco owners are not allowed to reopen their establishments until September, announced Matignon. The guitar used by Kurt Cobain during the recording of the famous concert "Unplugged" in 1993 was sold at auction for six million dollars. Beyoncé's new title is called "Black Parade", a surprise title available on all platforms. A piece that echoes the news in the United States and the demonstrations against racism and police violence following the disappearance of George Floyd.

The Culture Journal begins with the cultural event of the day.

The long awaited day for the reopening of cinemas has arrived. With respect for health rules but still a change announced this Sunday by the Minister of Culture Franck Riester, cinemas and shows can go beyond the half-gauge established by the Coronavirus. There is therefore no longer a 50% limitation and this is very good news. On the other hand, it will be necessary to continue separating spectators who do not belong to the same group from a seat. You will therefore see the films with family, friends or colleague. The mask is to be removed once you are seated.

The world of cinema did not stop mobilizing during the confinement.

After three months of closure, the cinemas are therefore reopening with around forty films on display. With films that were to be released while the cinemas were closed, such as "The Shadow of Stalin", and new releases such as the film "Girls of Joy" with, among others, Sara Forestier and Noémie Lvovsky. There are also theatrical returns, as is the case with Gabriel Le Bomin's film "De Gaulle" with Lambert Wilson which, when it was released, was a great success, "La bonneouse" by Martin Provost with Juliette Binoche and "Une Sirène à Paris" by Mathias Malzieu with Nicolas Duvauchelle.

It's very complicated for the film industry. In 2019, the world box office set a new revenue record of $ 42.5 billion. Following the coronavirus, there is a fall of 70% compared to last year at the same period. In 2020, this could represent a total loss of $ 31 billion, with 58% less turnover as minimal impact.

Cinema will therefore revive today in France, this is not the case for everyone, especially for discos.

Disco owners are not allowed to reopen their establishments before September, Matignon announces. So the casinos, gaming rooms yes, the stadiums with a maximum number of 5,000 people from July 11, on the other hand, discos, fairs, exhibitions and shows, so it will be after the summer. The union of hotel trades and industries said the government is signing the death warrant for nightclubs. The bosses of the night world expected a reopening date for the summer with security protocols. They were ready anyway. Everyone talks about unfair competition with the growing number of parties, whether private or wild, the profession could attack the decree as soon as it appears before the Council of State. The nightclubs employ 43,000 workers and around 100,000 people including employees of outside companies, such as security. The turnover is estimated at one billion euros.

A famous bus disappears from traffic.

The film "Into The Wild" by Sean Penn, adaptation to the cinema in 2007 of a book which retraces the life of a young American in nature, alone. It is in the depths of Alaska and obviously there is this legendary bus which has not moved since the shooting of the film in 2007. It is crossing the Teklanika river, an adventure therefore perilous. It became a very touristy place, everyone hurried to see the bus of "Into The Wild" except that the authorities decided to remove it with a helicopter. His visit is very dangerous, a young woman died while trying to join this bus. There have been 15 rescue operations since 2007.

A legendary guitar sold at a record price.

The guitar used by Kurt Cobain during the recording of the famous concert "Unplugged" in 1993 was sold at auction for six million dollars. The one who bought it is an Australian entrepreneur, Peter Freedman. He wishes to present the instrument in several cities around the world. By exhibiting it, he would raise money for charities supporting the world of entertainment. The model of Kurt Cobain's guitar is a very rare model, made in only 302 copies, semi-acoustic guitar, D-18E. The guitar was sold with its case, personalized by the singer and with three luggage deposit tickets. So far the most expensive guitar in history is the one used by the Pink Floyd, it was sold for almost four million dollars.

We end with a new title from Beyoncé

It is called "Black Parade", a surprise title available on all platforms. A piece that echoes the news in the United States and the demonstrations against racism and police violence following the disappearance of George Floyd. The title was released a few hours after Beyoncé announced the launch of the "Black Parade Route" initiative which should help support black traders.
