Christophe Dominici is no longer happy, and the whole country is in mourning.

One of the heroes of the legendary match France - New Zealand in 1999 died suddenly at the age of 48 on Tuesday, according to information from Midi-Olympique.

He was found dead in the Parc de Saint-Cloud, in Hauts-de-Seine, AFP said.

The former Stade Français player, who was 48, climbed onto the roof of an abandoned building in the park in the early afternoon before jumping, a police source said.

According to the Nanterre prosecutor's office, a witness saw the former player fall from 10 meters.

An explosive winger of Toulon origin, Dominici has spent most of his career at the Stade Français, where he won five French league titles.

With the XV of France, “Domi” had 67 selections including two Grand Slam titles, in 1998 and 2004.
