  China has established the first cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area since 2015, and has expanded several times since then.

Up to now, the number of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot areas has reached more than 100.

  According to official requirements, the newly launched 33 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones will replicate and promote the mature experience and practices of the first six batches of comprehensive pilot zones, and give full play to the positive role of cross-border e-commerce in helping traditional industries transform and upgrade, and promoting the digital development of industries. Promote the optimization and upgrading of foreign trade, and accelerate the construction of a strong trade country.

  The Ministry of Commerce of China recently issued a report stating that in recent years, cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones have actively learned from advanced regional experience and achieved positive results.

The comprehensive test area in the inland area explores a characteristic development path based on its own industry and location advantages, while the comprehensive test area in the eastern coastal area focuses on exploring new models and new formats, and gradually forms an open pattern of "linkage between land, sea and overseas, and two-way mutual aid between east and west".

  At present, vigorously developing cross-border e-commerce has become an important path for China to stabilize foreign trade.

According to official data, the import and export scale of China's cross-border e-commerce in 2021 will be about 1.92 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%, accounting for 4.9% of China's total foreign trade; the number of overseas warehouses has exceeded 2,000, with a total area of ​​over 16 million square meters.
