China News Agency, Beijing, April 15 (Ma Shuisha) At 20:00 on April 15, Beijing time, China successfully launched the China Satellite 6D satellite with the Long March 3B carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. Add new members.

The satellite mainly provides reliable, stable and secure radio and television transmission and communication services for users within China's territory and territorial waters and users in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is reported that the Zhongxing 6D satellite is a special transmission satellite for radio and television programs developed by the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and it is the successor of the Zhongxing 6A satellite.

It adopts China's self-developed Dongfanghong-4 enhanced satellite platform, which not only undertakes all the business of Zhongxing 6A satellite, but also realizes function expansion.

The satellite's new maritime beam will expand the coverage of the South China Sea and Southeast Asia.

The Zhongxing 6D satellite is the first satellite to apply relay measurement and control technology in the field of China's civil and commercial communication satellites.

The satellite is equipped with a relay measurement and control subsystem, and the measurement and control information is directly transmitted back to the ground station through the relay satellite, which reduces the dependence on overseas measurement and control sites and survey ships, and enhances China's independent measurement and control capabilities for satellites.

After the Zhongxing 6D satellite is delivered in orbit, it will serve as the main satellite to undertake the radio and television broadcast engineering business and provide emergency support communication services.

This launch is also the annual debut of the Long March 3B carrier rocket.

In order to better cope with the continuous high-density situation, in recent years, the R&D team has explored the implementation of job integration.

The personnel positions at the launch site of this rocket have been upgraded and integrated again, reducing the personnel by a quarter.

This "one pick many" model reduces the manpower required for daily launch site technical support, allowing the designer system to devote more energy to innovative designs.

In the future, this work will also be promoted and applied to the new-generation launch vehicle test team.

This mission is the 415th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
