China Railway 11th Bureau undertook the construction of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway Meizhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge and started track laying on April 15.

The bridge is China's first cross-sea high-speed railway low-tower cable-stayed bridge, and it is also a control project for the entire Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway line.

The Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is China's first cross-sea high-speed railway, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a total length of 277.42 kilometers.

The Meizhou Bay Bridge is located in Putian City and Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, with a total length of 14.7 kilometers, of which the sea area construction length is 10.8 kilometers.

The relevant person in charge of the project construction unit said that the smooth track laying of the Meizhou Bay Bridge will lay a solid foundation for the early completion and opening of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway.
