China News Service, Beijing, September 17 (Zhou Rui and Li Anqi) Qin Yuyun, Director of the Grain Reserve Department of China’s State Administration of Grain and Materials The sown area has increased significantly, and the autumn crop is expected to have another bumper harvest. Accordingly, the purchase volume will also increase.

According to the situation in various regions, it is estimated that about 350 billion catties will be purchased during the peak season of autumn grain, an increase of about 20 billion catties year-on-year.

Autumn grain mainly includes corn, mid-late rice and soybeans. It has the characteristics of large quantity, wide area, and long time span. It has always been the top priority of China's grain procurement.

Qin Yuyun said that in response to the purchase of autumn grain, the government has put forward a requirement that "some people receive grain, have money to collect grain, have warehouses to collect grain, and have vehicles to transport grain."

In order to free up storage capacity, Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning have prepared purchasing and storage capacities of 230 billion jin, 85 billion jin, and 78 billion jin respectively by accelerating sales and unloading, vacating and combining warehouses, which can fully meet the acquisition needs.

Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Jiangxi and other places improved the credit guarantee funds for grain purchase loans, and continued to broaden corporate financing channels.

Henan, Shandong and other places guide state-owned grain enterprises to develop entrusted purchases, joint purchases and other methods to play a leading role in demonstration.

Qin Yuyun said that in order to help farmers sell grain better.

Various localities actively promote methods such as appointment purchases and door-to-door services to help farmers avoid running around, queueing up, and selling food faster.

At the same time, give play to the role of the grain post-production service system, carry out services such as cleaning, drying, storage, processing, and sales, and organize professionals to enter villages and households, and strengthen guidance on safe food storage in courtyards.

Qin Yuyun said that the current average market price of mid-to-late rice is about RMB 1.35 per catty, which is significantly higher than the minimum purchase price.

It is expected that the price of Xinliang will drop slightly after a large number of listings, but it is unlikely that most regions will initiate a minimum purchase price plan.
