The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention today (28th) released the monitoring of the adverse reaction of my country's new crown vaccination. From December 15, 2020 to April 30, 2021, 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported vaccination against the new crown virus. 265 million doses, 31434 cases of adverse reactions to vaccination were reported, and the reported incidence was 11.86 per 100,000 doses.

In this regard, the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the interpretation of the information on the adverse reaction monitoring of the new crown vaccination nationwide.

The interpretation shows that the general and abnormal reaction rates of my country's new coronavirus vaccine are lower than the average reported levels of other types of vaccines in my country in 2019.

The current assessment believes that the incidence of severe abnormal reactions is extremely low, and the benefits of vaccination against the new coronavirus far outweigh the risks. All countries continue to promote vaccination.

The main adverse reaction characteristics of the new coronavirus vaccine are basically similar to those reported by other vaccines.

About 40% of subjective symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, or nausea are reported in general reactions. Moderate and severe symptoms with objective measurement indicators such as fever, local redness, and induration are relatively rare. Symptoms are mostly transient, and they can subside after proper rest. .

Among the abnormal reactions, allergic rash and angioedema have been reported in relatively large numbers, but they usually do not cause serious consequences. Acute severe allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock and laryngeal edema are extremely rare and usually have no serious consequences after timely treatment.

Some countries have also reported the monitoring of adverse reactions after vaccination with the new coronavirus.

Most of them are also mainly with systemic symptoms such as pain, redness and swelling at the injection site, fever, headache, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, and limb pain.

Individuals have also reported adverse events such as severe allergic reactions. After evaluation, some severe allergic reactions may be related to the vaccine. Other events are still under continuous monitoring and research.

The current assessment believes that the incidence of severe abnormal reactions is extremely low, and the benefits of vaccination against the new coronavirus far outweigh the risks. All countries continue to promote vaccination.

Vaccination against the new crown virus is the most economical and effective means of preventing and controlling the epidemic. It is also one of the most important measures taken by countries around the world to prevent and control the infection and spread of new crown pneumonia. my country has started mass population vaccination on December 15, 2020. Inactivated vaccines, adenovirus vector vaccines (type 5 adenovirus vectors), recombinant subunit vaccines (CHO cells) and other vaccines with different technical routes have been urgently used in the country or Conditional approval for listing. In order to comprehensively safeguard the lives and health of the people, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center continue to carry out monitoring of adverse reactions to vaccination to ensure the smooth implementation of vaccination.
