The detention of over a million Uyghurs in
re-education camps
, birth control through massive sterilizations, the forced transfers of Uyghur workers to factories elsewhere in China and the criminalization of religious practices ... all these atrocities committed were commissioned and planned at the top of the State, in Beijing, estimates the researcher Adrien Zenz, after having peeled 317 pages of official documents, classified confidential for the most part.
According to the revelations, Chinese number one Xi Jinping himself authorized the local government to pass an anti-terrorism law which then served as the basis for the opening of hundreds of re-education camps.
"
Eradicate evil ”
In three speeches in 2014, revealed by Adrien Zenz, Xi calls religious extremism a “
poison
” and a “
powerful psychedelic drug
”.
We must therefore "
eradicate the evil
", he argues, otherwise terrorist acts risk spreading "
like cancer
" throughout China.
Xi Jinping praises the re-education of the Uyghurs as a remedy against “
unhealthy thinking
”.
These secret documents also demonstrate that any official who did not obey orders from Beijing was severely punished.
