Five-time Champions League winner Toni Kroos from Real Madrid broke off a TV interview after beating Liverpool in the final.

"You had 90 minutes to think about sensible questions and then you ask me two shitty questions," replied the ex-world champion in the winner's interview on ZDF shortly after the 1-0.

The 32-year-old was asked if it was surprising that Real came under so much pressure in the final on Saturday night at the Stade de France.

"It's not surprising that you're in trouble against Liverpool," said Kroos.

"What kind of question is that, you're not playing a group game somewhere, we're playing the Champions League final." After the approach of another question, Kroos simply walked away and scolded: "It's really bad, really bad."

Kroos did not take the previous question well.

"What is natural.

We put up a great fight, we knew Liverpool were a great team," Kroos replied, asking if the win wasn't so obvious given the course of the game.

ZDF expert Per Mertesacker, who became world champion with Kroos in Brazil in 2014, said after the interview: "I've also experienced negative questions after a positive outcome." Mertesacker had himself during the World Cup before eight Years after the round of 16 victory against Algeria, he expressed annoyance at questions and said the sentence that has now become legendary in German football: "I'll lie down in the ice bin for three days."
