The German Association of Pediatricians and Adolescents stated that headache has become a common symptom in children as well, due to the hectic rhythm of life, and the congestion of the child's daily life schedule with various activities.
She explained that in most cases headaches are not a serious problem, and they can be faced through some simple measures such as staying in a quiet room that does not have intense lighting, placing a wet towel on the child's forehead, and patting his temples and the front of his head and the back of his neck using peppermint oil.
The association indicated that persistent headaches in children require consulting a doctor, explaining that it is due to several reasons, such as dental and jaw problems or vision problems, and psychological factors also cause the child to have a persistent headache.
In some cases, the headache may threaten the child's infection with a serious disease such as meningitis, then the headache is sudden and accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, and a stiff neck, which requires immediate medical care.
