14 October 2020Second hearing in the court of Ancona, of the trial in the Court of Assizes of Appeal, for the case of Pamela Mastropietro.

Innocent Oseghale, the 32-year-old Nigerian sentenced to life imprisonment in the first instance for the murder of the 18-year-old Roman, arrived in court in a prison police van and was accompanied by officers to the courtroom.

"One day I would like to talk to him, he must tell me, looking me in the eye, what happened and tell who his accomplices are".

So in Ancona Alessandra Verni, the mother of Pamela Mastropietro, the 18-year-old Roman killed and torn to pieces in Macerata on January 30, 2018, before the trial of Innocent Oseghale, 32, Nigerian, sentenced in the first degree to life imprisonment for willful murder aggravated by sexual violence, destruction and concealment of a corpse

The accused, defended by the lawyers Simone Matraxia and Umberto Gramenzi, claims that he did not kill Pamela and that the young woman died of an overdose, while admitting to having torn her body to pieces, hidden inside two trolleys then abandoned in the countryside.

"He says he is repentant, is he crying? I too cry but I'm not like him, - adds Verni - I would never be able to harm a person. He must speak to me looking into my eyes, say what happened, point out his accomplices, otherwise I do not believe it".

The indictment of the Attorney General Sergio Sottani is now underway.
