The famous film competition ends this Saturday, May 28.

It will end with the presentation of the prestigious Palme d'Or.

Several films have managed to win the support of the jury and the critics, like the latest work by the Dardenne brothers or "Leila and her brothers" by Iranian director Saeed Roustaee.

After more than a week of competition, the Cannes Film Festival is coming to an end.

Between "Top Gun: Maverick" by Joseph Kosinski, "Elvis" by Baz Luhrmann or the latest film by the Dardenne brothers, the competition is tough.

A crush on two Belgian directors

Two Belgian films distinguished themselves during this 75ᵉ edition of Cannes.

Unsurprisingly, "Tori and Lokita", the latest film by the Dardenne brothers, caught the eye of the jury.

The film tells the story of two Beninese refugees.

Its release is scheduled for next September.

Another Belgian director, Lukas Dhont, also stood out for this last edition of the Festival.

This filmmaker had already made an impression in 2018 with his film "Girl", which then won the Camera d'or.

This year, his drama "Close", which relates a friendship between two teenagers, moved the Croisette.

But other films could overshadow Belgian directors like "RMN" by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu, already Palme d'or thanks to his film "4 months, 3 weeks, 2 days".

Another favorite is the film "Leila and her brothers", directed by Saeed Roustaee.

This Iranian filmmaker was revealed by his film "The law of Tehran".
