  Gao Shuni introduced the history, functions and types of archives of the National Archives to President Fang Qiaosheng and her delegation.

She said that the National Archives currently collects historical archives in different languages, including 881 Chinese archives, with a total of more than 10,000 pages.

"Most of these Chinese archives belong to the French colonial period, that is, from 1863 to 1954, mainly the administrative materials of the Chinese managed by the French colonial government, reflecting the occupation and living conditions of the Chinese at that time." She said that the National Archives is planned to be established. Digital archives repository for better organization and preservation of historical archives.

"Once the digital archives are made, we will restore the original archives and then keep them permanently."

President Fang Qiaosheng announced that he would donate US$50,000 to the National Archives in the name of the Cambodian Chinese Council to support its work on sorting and preserving Chinese historical archives.

He said that the Cambodian Chinese Council will set up a working group to be responsible for cooperating with the National Archives to further study its collection of Chinese historical archives.

  President Fang pointed out that the Cambodian-Chinese Council also plans to set up a Chinese historical and cultural relic center as a folk research center for the Chinese community to collect and sort out the historical deeds of the Chinese in Cambodia, so that the Chinese descendants can understand the history of the Chinese in Cambodia, including the process of coming to Cambodia, life, economy. and social activities.

He said that the Cambodian Chinese Council is looking for buildings with historical value to serve as the venue for the Chinese historical relics museum.
