The Ministry of Economy launched summons and service campaigns that include 1278 vehicles, among them 826 cars from the "Mercedes-Benz" brand, and 452 cars from the German "Audi" brand, and from different models, to repair manufacturing defects.
Mercedes-Benz
The ministry added that the campaign to summon "Mercedes-Benz" is carried out in cooperation with my company: "Gargash Enterprises", and "Emirates Motors", "Mercedes-Benz" dealerships in the country, and includes models: Coupe Convertible S-Class Model 217, and S-Class Model 222, and Maybach, a four-liter, eight-cylinder petrol engine.
E-Class, S-Class, CLS, and GLC are 238, 222, 253, and 257 models of the 2018-2020 models. The Ministry of Economy attributed the summons to engine specific reasons and torque of the oil lines of the turbocharger, pointing out that this coincides with the start of the “Gargash Enterprises” and “Emirates Cars” and the Department of Consumer Protection in the Ministry, informing the dealers to start a screening campaign for defective cars that have been Imported from these models, as the concerned customers are contacted to inform them that their vehicles are brought for inspection, provided that the repair process is done for free.
Audi vehicles
The ministry also announced the launch of special service campaigns that include 383 cars from the German "Audi" brand, and include the following models: A4, A5, A6 and Q5 with a 2-liter TFSI engine and a light hybrid system manufactured between May 2017 and March 2020, in cooperation with my company “Al Naboodah Motors” and “Ali and Sons for Cars” are the agents accredited to the “Audi” brand in the country. The Ministry stated in its report yesterday that the recall comes to the possibility of moisture entering the box of the generator belt of the renewable current, which may result in chemical reactions that cause electrical contact in the piece , Overheating, and ignition in critical situations, indicating that this may also happen in a vehicle with a full standstill for a long time.
The ministry revealed the recall of 69 "Audi" TT four-wheel vehicles, manufactured between 2014 and May 2019, pointing to the possibility of a malfunction in the fuel tank, which may lead to fuel leakage in the event of an accident.
The Ministry of Economy confirmed that "Al Naboodah Motors" in Dubai, and "Ali and Sons Cars" in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, will communicate with the consumers who own the cars concerned to inform them of the summons, inform them about the developments and the steps that must be taken to implement the recall process smoothly, and arrange for the necessary repairs to be made for free.
