Film and television production will resume in the state on June 12, after approval of new guidelines to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus, officials said.
A statement from the California Department of Health indicated that the producers will have to obtain approval from local health officials to resume filming.
Filming around the world was halted in mid-March to help stem the Corona pandemic.
And a workforce from Hollywood studios and trade unions had proposed, last week, extensive testing for corona virus detection, a daily review of symptoms, and other guarantees to allow actors and crews to resume their activity.
The state's health department stated that in order to return to work, producers must adhere to labor force guidelines, and also obtain approval from district health officials.
She added that the regional authorities should examine the local infection rates with the Corona virus, preparations for an increase in cases, and the possibility of testing and other data before approval is given.
But nothing indicates that major Hollywood studios will be able to relaunch their productions, because Los Angeles and the surrounding area is one of the main centers of the Covid-19 outbreak in the state, with nearly half of all injuries and deaths recorded.
To date, California has recorded more than 125,000 infections with the Corona virus, and 4,500 deaths.
Producers must adhere to labor force guidelines.
