It's not the world before, but it looks like (a little). For Emmanuel Macron, the reopening of bars and restaurants means "the return of happy days" in France. Phase II of the deconfinement started this morning, it is synonymous with a virtual return to normal in France.

“The reopening of cafes, hotels and restaurants marks the return of happy days! "Said the head of state on Twitter. “There is no doubt that the French will be there to rediscover this part of the French spirit, our culture and our art of living. In these difficult times, the state will continue to support this sector, ”he added.

Freedom and prudence

Enjoy a coffee on the terrace or jump on a train to the beach: the French regained part of their freedom on Tuesday, even if caution remains in the face of the coronavirus which has killed nearly 30,000 people in France and led to a deep recession.

Left aside during the first phase of deconfinement on May 11, cafes, bars and restaurants, affected by more than two months of closure, were able to reopen with certain conditions to be respected.

In the orange zone (Ile-de-France, Guyana, Mayotte), the regions under more pressure from the virus, only the terraces can accommodate customers. In the green zone, it is also possible indoors, but not more than ten customers per table and with a minimum meter between each group.
