According to witnesses, the assailants, members of an armed terrorist group, attacked the village of Namsiguia around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

These armed men first damaged the relay stations of the telephone operators, thus making all communications impossible, report security sources.

They stayed until 2 p.m. in the village where they caused a lot of damage, underline other witnesses.

Several shops and stores were looted and burned.

The call for help came after the attackers left, security sources said.

No final report is yet available.

“

Many families are still without news of their loved ones

,” according to the same sources.

Last Monday, the nationals of Namsiguia appealed to the authorities about the situation in their village.

"

Namsiguia experienced the greatest number of attacks with around thirty incursions by armed men

", they had underlined.

According to these residents, the armed groups have implemented a strategy of smothering their locality, occupying all the key points, such as water points, dams and major roads.
