The group BTS set a new record for winning the top spot with their song twice in a row on the Billboard main single chart.

Billboard announced on the 26th local time that BTS' 'Butter', which gave up the top spot for the new song 'Permission to Dance', has again won the top spot on the 'Hot 100'.

'Butter', released on May 21st, took the top spot for seven consecutive weeks immediately after its release, and then handed over the top to 'Permission to Dance' last week.

Billboard said, "It is the first time that BTS has put a previous number one song back to the top right after replacing it with their new song."
