The British media also showed great interest in the news of Son Heung-min returning to England after completing basic military training with excellent performance at the Marine Corps.

British media such as the BBC and Sky Sports reported that Son Heung-min returned to London after completing military training in South Korea on the 16th of the local time, and is likely to return to training this week.

Heung-Min Son returned to Korea after the suspension of games including the English Premier League (EPL) due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona19), and received basic military training at the Marine Corps 9th Brigade Training Center in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju from 20 to 8 this month.

Son Heung-min, who was awarded the top prize in completion of the 157 trainees, went to England on the 16th after a brief break.

The EPL has not yet set an exact schedule, but limited training is allowed to resume next month.

In the beginning, it was known that Son Heung-min had to undergo a two-week self-containment after returning to England after completing military training, but according to local media reports, this is not mandatory.

Sky Sports explained, "According to the EPL and the government policy, Son Heung-min does not need to self-isolate unless he is positive on the Corona 19 test."

The BBC also said, "Son Heung-min can participate from the 18th as soon as he arrives at a personal training session that is currently allowed under the EPL resumption plan."

Son Heung-min, who had undergone a broken right arm surgery during the February game prior to military training, is expected to recover from injuries in the meantime and continue to play normally when the league resumes.
