Bremerhaven (dpa / lni) - In Bremerhaven, local politicians are preparing for nightly exit restrictions in view of the sharp rise in corona infection levels.

This was reported by the “Nordsee-Zeitung” (Thursday).

Accordingly, the magistrate decided that residents are no longer allowed to be outside after 10:00 p.m. if the seven-day incidence exceeds the threshold of 200 on three consecutive days.

Most recently, the value was just below this.

Bremerhaven is also thinking about a temporary end to the easing of public life.

"We didn't want to take everything back immediately," said Mayor Melf Grantz (SPD).

According to the newspaper, however, purchases with prior appointment reservations are now to be abolished.

Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) had indicated significantly tougher Corona measures over the holidays after Chancellor Angela Merkel withdrew the heavily controversial Easter rest.

"We won't just be able to let things go," he said.

In addition to restricting day trips, the possibilities could include exit restrictions, which are named in the latest federal-state resolution for high-incidence regions.
