Four women in different times and worlds, connected by their names, by a piece of jewelery and by a story of suffering, oppression and violence: In her novel “Adas Raum”, Sharon Dodua Otoo spans an arc from the exploitation of Africa to contemporary Berlin , where a young, black woman is looking for a place for herself and her coming child.

How could she separate her political engagement and her literary writing, asks Sharon Dodua Otoo - and why should she?

On June 7th she was a guest at the Literaturhaus Frankfurt with “Adas Raum”.

Unfortunately, the audience was only able to attend via video broadcast.

It was moderated by Sandra Kegel.

"Adas Raum" by Sharon Dodua Otoo
