Book sales increased by 7.4 percent in kronor, and 20 percent in number of copies sold, during the first months of the year.
The changed lifestyles that the pandemic entailed are also evident in the book statistics, where physical sales declined while digital sales increased sharply.
"However, it is clear that the pandemic has disadvantaged players in the physical store environment and has been favorable for digital players," the report states.
