Annika Eklind has been sick from her job as a nurse for a few years due to fatigue syndrome and recurring depression. Some days she doesn't want to get out of bed, let alone get out and meet people.

But thanks to the project "Hang with us", which is run by social psychiatry in Sjöbo, Tomelilla and Ystad, she regularly comes out into the wild.

- I really try to follow out even though I'm feeling bad, because I know I'm feeling better, says Annika Eklind.

"Ever better"

Once every three weeks, the group, all living with different types of mental ill health, embark on various activities in nature. When SVT News Skåne comes along, the excursion goes to Björkadammen in Sjöbo.

For Annika Eklind, this has meant that she also takes out more on her own. And she feels better.

- It has been steadily getting better. Obviously it goes up and down, but in general I feel better.

Not only the tranquility of nature heals, but the community is also industrious.

- Everyone knows why you are here. If you feel a little bad, it doesn't matter, you don't have to pretend, you get support.
