Of the more than 21,000 refugees who have so far come from Ukraine, about 7,000 are entitled to citizenship under Israeli law.

But the others, who do not have that right, have not always been treated well.

Tanja Koman and her children came to Israel because her mother has lived there for many years.

But at the airport, the family was questioned and had to wait for several hours.

- They shouted at us and asked what we should do here - if we were here to get married.

My husband is still at home.

We only fled here because it is a war, says Tanja.
