The Spanish newspaper "Marca" held a referendum in which 120,000 voted to choose the best and worst in the Spanish Football League for the elapsed season 2019-2020, which Real Madrid crowned.

The referendum witnessed the predominance of Real Madrid team crowned title 34 in its history.

Among the most prominent results of the referendum, Real Madrid's top scorer Karim Benzema was chosen as the best player of the season with 36% of the votes, beating Barcelona's top scorer and Lionel Messi who got 32%, and he also won the best striker.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos came in third with 14%, but he won the vote by defending the best defender (65%) and the best Spanish player (56%), followed by Villarreal Santi Cazorla, who moved to the Al Sadd club.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane won the title of best coach with 46% of the vote, followed by Granada coach Diego Martinez in second place.

The fans also chose Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, the most elite goalkeeper, and teammate Casemiro, the best midfielder, ahead of Cazorla and Oudegaard.

Real Madrid's Luka Jovitch and Eden Hazard duo with Barcelona player Antoine Griezmann were named the worst deal of the season.
