According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 15th, the amount of precipitation from the 13th to 4 am today was 678.5 mm for the azalea field of Mt. Halla and 605.5 mm from the southern wall of Mt. Halla.



The amount of precipitation for each other branch is 349 mm at the Typhoon Center, 334.5 mm in Gashi-ri in Jeju, 328.4 mm in Seogwipo, 298.5 mm in Sancheondan, 170.6 mm in Seongsan, 126.2 mm in Jeju, and 124.5 mm in Gapado.



The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that it would rain occasionally on Jeju today due to the indirect effect of Typhoon Chantu.



He also said that the wind will blow very strongly on land at 10 to 16 m/s and at sea at 12 to 24 m/s.



According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Typhoon Chantu is advancing southeast at 8 km per hour in the sea about 360 km south-southwest of Seogwipo as of 3 am, and will directly affect Jeju between tomorrow (16th) and 17th.



Because of this, it will rain heavily in Jeju on the 16th and 17th.



The expected precipitation on the 16th is 50 to 100 mm, with more than 150 mm in many places.



An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "There may be disruptions in the operation, such as delays or cancellations of aircraft and passenger ships due to strong winds and high waves until the day after tomorrow (17th).



Chantu is a strong typhoon with a central pressure of 975 hectopascals (hPa) and a maximum wind speed of 35 m/s as of 3 am today.
