08 December 2020German divers found a German Enigma encryption device, used by the Third Reich during World War II, on the Baltic Seabed. The device was brought to the surface with fishermen's nets. According to experts, the device was thrown overboard from a warship in the last days of the conflict.

According to expert estimates, Nazi Germany produced 100 such machines during World War II. The codes of these devices for encrypting military messages changed every 24 hours.

It was Alan Turing, a brilliant British mathematician, who decoded the codes created by Enigma and thus gave a decisive advantage to the Allies in the fight against Nazi Germany.
