August 24, 2021Awaiting the bankers' meeting in Jackson Hole, scheduled for the weekend, has held back investors, fearful of factors such as the pandemic and Afghan tensions. Wall Street opened with slight progress (Dow Jones + 0.10% and Nasdaq + 0.32% at 17.30 Italian time) but did not push the European lists. Milan closed slightly down, at - 0.07%. Paris was also weak -0.28%. In progress, however, London, + 0.24%, and Frankfurt, + 0.33%. Raw materials are up. Brent oil is approaching $ 70 a barrel. Gold is back above $ 1800 an ounce. Euro at 1.17 and 45 against the dollar.
