"We will not continue the (building) submarine program with France," Morrison said in an Interfax statement.
He added that the French government and President Emmanuel Macron have been notified of this decision.
“France remains our important partner in the Pacific,” Morrison said.
Earlier it became known that the United States, Great Britain and Australia agreed on a partnership in the field of defense and security.
